Playland at the PNE officially opens for the 2025 season this weekend
Posted May 17, 2025 3:11 pm. In a sign that summer is just around the corner, Playland at the PNE has officially opened for the 2025 season. Playland will be open Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. from May 17 until June 26. Starting June 27 until August 15, the park will be open Wednesday through Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The park will also be open until 7 p.m. on select Fridays and Saturdays . On opening weekend, May 17 and 18, Playland: UNLOCKED will feature a “Plushie Hunt” — a scavenger hunt featuring stuffed animals. Prizes include a MacBook Air, a PlayStation 5, and an iPad Air. Several DJs are set to play over the weekend as well. The official PNE fair will run from Aug. 17 to Sept. 1. This year’s Summer Nights concert series will feature Lynyrd Skynyrd, Counting Crows, Flo Rida, Meghan Trainor, Foreigner, Tom Cochrane, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, and the Gipsy Kings, among others. Tickets for these concerts are already on sale . In 2024, around 638,000 people attended the PNE fair. The PNE is owned by the City of Vancouver.
